This month we’re reading: Opening Belle by Maureen Sherry

Synopsis: Opening Belle is a 2016 novel by Maureen Sherry about a female Wall Street executive balancing her high-powered career with her family life. The book, which draws on Sherry's own experience as a former managing director, explores themes of sexism, ambition, and the challenges of being a working mother in a male-dominated industry. It follows the protagonist, Isabelle, as she navigates the "frat party" culture of her firm, deals with a husband who feels his employment is beneath him, and is recruited into a secret "glass ceiling club" by female colleagues.
